COUNSELING

Greetings!  I specialize in serving older adults and caregivers with life transitions, aging, grief, loss, chronic health conditions, and stress. I bring over 23 years of diverse gerontology expertise in home, virtual, and community settings.  My integrative approach is strengths based, solutions focused, and holistic to support your needs. I use a variety of mental health frameworks, mindfulness, and body based practices.

We collaborate to navigate the twists and turns of life for increased well-being.  With empathy, compassion, and humor I am here to help you feel better, understood, and appreciated. Based on your values and wisdom I offer guidance on how to implement practical skills for healthy coping.

My well-being instruction credentials include the Powerful Tools for Caregivers class and Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (Healthier Living). I have teacher certifications for Instinctive Meditation and Hatha Yoga. Throughout the years facilitating support groups for caregivers and older adults has been very rewarding.

As a Fort Lewis College student I fell in love with studying abroad to experience other cultures.  As a result, my life is a tapestry of learning, volunteering, living, and teaching internationally.  This helps me incorporate each person’s unique background to co-create personalized treatment. I believe in walking the talk and living a healthy, balanced life. I do this through yoga, mindfulness, meditation, outdoor activities, and rejuvenating in nature.
